Medical Transcription

CDSI provides one of the most sophisticated technology involved in the service of Medical Transcription. We have more than 400 medical transcriptionist who can transcribe medical documents with a quality output rating of 98%. More than 90% of the output we produce are deliverable to the doctors and the US editor just make the necessary final proofing for the remaining 10%. In all our works, we employ a standard process of improving in our learning curve. This means that we request for the corrected documents in all our works and we used these documents as tools in improving further our quality output. Our turn around time is 24 hours and we can transcribe faster than other offshore outsourcing companies because of the Philippines' 3-hour advance time difference.

We can download files from any site because we are directly link to the UUNET, which is our backbone. We maintain 1 STM and three (3) DS3 Carriers which is equivalent to 132 E1 leased lines from four (4) major carriers. This bandwidth capacity is equivalent to 177,000 hours of audio and approximately 42 million images downloadable per day. We have the capacity to process work immediately because our first shift reports to work at 6:00 a.m. (Phil. time or 6:00 p.m. Eastern time/ 3:00 p.m. Pacific time). We maintain 2 shifts regularly and a third shift if necessary to finish overtime work or projects, which requires a third shift. Our production operates 24/7 except on national holidays. Our site has 350+ Pentium workstations and NT servers on a 10/100 MBPS network. We have our own proprietary Transcription Workflow Manager system and transcription technology. We use CD writer for backup. We also have a stand-by power.

Our work process includes, downloading, file preparation, transcribing, editing and auditing. Our workstations are equipped with all the tools, software and hardware and we maintain an up to date resources to keep with ever changing technology. Our MTs can handle a daily capacity of 20,000 minutes of dictation. For new accounts, we can immediately establish 100 mins/day gradually ramping up as coordinated with the client.

We have over 400 Medical Transcriptionists to which we add 25-30 new MTs every month. Our constant hiring is to address the service of new clients and to deepen our back-up pool. All our MTs are college graduates from reputable medical schools majoring in health care courses such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, and Pharmacy etc. With no exceptions, all MTs were trained intensively in the art of Medical Transcription for 3 months in a classroom setting and another 3 to 6 months on the job with the close supervision of more seasoned MTs. Our courseware was designed by an experienced US MT and patterned after AAMT standards.

Very importantly, we have adhered to rules governing HIPAA compliancy.
